My third Giant Swallowtail sighting this summer but this specimen was a little worse for wear. It was collected at the northeast corner of the crosswalk at the intersection of Spring Street and Victoria Street on Monday, August 18th 2008 shortly after 10:00 AM.
Unfortunately this butterfly forgot to push the button for the lights, point and look both ways before crossing and became a victim of the vehicular traffic. I didn't bother calling an ambulance because judging by it's condition, it's not going to make it ...
